Inter Miami defeated Columbus 1-0 to move to the top of the Eastern Conference

Inter Miami remains on fire in Major League Soccer: they won 1-0 with a goal from Benjamín Cremaschi. This way, they fell to the leader, remain undefeated, and moved up to the top of the Eastern Conference.

Shortly before the half-hour mark, while Las Garzas were struggling and defending, they came up with a good counterattack. Luis Suárez switched the ball to Chelo Weigandt, who, with a first-time pass, passed it to Benjamín Cremaschi, who made a great dive to cross the ball and put it against Patrick Schulte’s right post.

Lionel Messi had a great chance to extend the lead after a great dribble, passing between two players and unleashing a powerful shot at the far post that narrowed but went just wide. In the second half, scoring chances were few and far between, resulting in a 1-0 draw for Inter Miami, who reached 18 points and climbed to the top of the MLS Eastern Conference.

On Thursday at 11:30 p.m., Lionel Messi and company’s Las Garzas will visit the Vancouver Whitecaps for the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals. Their next Major League Soccer match will be on Sunday the 27th against Dallas in Fort Lauderdale.
