Trump honors Florida Panthers at the White House to celebrate their Stanley Cup win

President Donald Trump welcomed the Florida Panthers to the White House on Thursday to celebrate their 2025 Stanley Cup win.

“It’s an honor to welcome to the White House the two time defending Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers,” said President Trump.

The team secured the Stanley Cup title for the second time in a row back in June.

The president praised team members and team owner Vincent Viola for what he said was “perhaps the most dominant playoff run in NHL history.”

“These men are responsible for the greatest feats in Panthers franchise history,” he said.

The team also presented the president with a golden hockey stick, two championship rings and a red jersey with the number 47 on it.

After the ceremony, the president gave the players a private tour of the Oval Office.
