The Miami Open, the second Masters 1000 of the year, has already begun its qualifying rounds. And, for this 2026 edition, the total prize money has experienced solid growth, solidifying its position as one of the most lucrative tournaments outside of the Grand Slam events.
With a total prize pool of $18,831,450 (combining ATP and WTA events), the tournament maintains its equal prize money policy.
The average increase of 2.4% in almost every round compared to last year reflects the tournament’s financial stability.
The top players and the most important tournaments can be enjoyed live through the Disney+ Premium Plan.
Even players who fall in the first round of qualifying receive a payment of $7,330, a significant relief for the “second tier.”
For the singles champions, this year they will take home $1,151,380, an increase of more than 2% compared to the 2025 prize money won by Jakub Mensik and Aryna Sabalenka.
In the men’s draw, the 2026 Miami Open will take place from March 18 to 29. The women’s main draw begins this Tuesday, March 17.
The prize money is the same as that awarded at Indian Wells, a tournament that, for 2026, reduced its amounts by 4%.
It’s worth noting that this Masters 1000 tournament on hard courts began in 1985, but has been played at Hard Rock Stadium since 2019.
