G4ever, Miami’s innovative art gallery dedicated to the fusion of art and sport, will open its first major exhibition, “Sport = Art,” at its Wynwood location on Saturday, November 16. The gallery seeks to inspire artists, cultural icons, collectors and fans by showcasing the power of art to communicate and transform the world across generations.
Fueled by the arrival of soccer star Leo Messi and the explosion of soccer in Miami, especially with the city hosting the upcoming 2026 World Cup, OG4ever presents this exhibition in a unique context, celebrating how sport and art intersect.
In a grand prelude to Art Basel, the “Sport = Art” exhibition will offer an immersive experience that explores the deep connection between athletics and art, paying homage to sports figures as testimonies of physical excellence and cultural expression.
From dynamic bronze sculptures, made from actual casts of football legend Pelé’s hands and feet, by fifth-generation Italian sculptor Dante Mortet, to paintings of iconic sporting moments created by a selection of international artists, “Sport = Art” redefines the fusion between art and sport, offering visitors a unique experience in the city where football is experiencing an unprecedented renaissance.
The exhibition will feature works by renowned artists such as Dante Mortet, René Mäkelä, Lili Cantero, Cristian Troiani, Carling Jackson and Murray Henderson, who all share a passion for reinterpreting key moments in sporting history through their artistic lenses. Each piece invites viewers to explore the intensity, emotion and cultural significance that sports evoke, blurring the boundaries between the athletic and the aesthetic.
One of the highlights will be “The Sistine Chapel of Sports,” suspended from the ceiling, bringing together the greatest athletes of all time in one unique painting.
In addition, visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to admire paintings of Mike Tyson, Michael Jordan, and Patrick Mahomes, all done by Murray Henderson, during the VIP preview on Friday, November 15. This will take place the same night that the UFC Mike Tyson x Jake Paul event will be screened at the gallery. The Tyson painting, done by Henderson, is signed by Tyson himself, who is a huge fan of the artist.
OG4ever is proud to present this cutting-edge exhibition, which highlights the powerful and timeless connection between art and sport, celebrating the athletic figures who have shaped our culture while redefining how we understand art.
