A twin-engine plane with three people on board crashed near Boca Raton Airport, Florida, causing a fire and injuring one person on the ground. All passengers died. The aircraft crashed near Interstate 95, closing the road and setting a passing vehicle on fire.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) identified the plane as a Cessna 310. It crashed around 10:20 a.m. local time after taking off from Boca Raton Airport bound for Tallahassee. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
The accident comes one day after a helicopter crashed in New York City, killing five tourists.
