Seatrade Cruise Global, the world’s largest cruise trade show, kicked off its 40th edition this Monday in Miami, United States, with the aim of connecting the global cruise community and exploring emerging trends and industry perspectives.
Specifically, today’s event will be held in a conference format, while exhibitions will begin tomorrow and continue through Thursday, April 10.
Some of the topics discussed throughout the 2025 edition will include talent attraction, itinerary planning, connected data, entertainment on luxury and expedition cruises, redefined expedition cruises, and consumer insights.
In 2024, the international event attracted more than 11,000 attendees and 600 exhibitors from 120 countries, representing a total of more than 70 cruise line brands.
Regarding the Spanish presence at Seatrade Cruise, both the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz (APBC) and the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) attended the event. Thus, the port of Cádiz showcased its infrastructure and services, as well as the tourist attractions in its surroundings, at the American convention.
Meanwhile, in the North American city of Algeciras and Tarifa, they are presented as exclusive destinations for luxury cruise tourism, not only due to their privileged location on the Strait of Gibraltar, but also due to their tourist offerings, with the possibility of visiting two continents in a single day, observing cetaceans and migratory birds, or playing golf.
