Miami: Mexican Consulate to Process Passports and Voter IDs

The Consulate General of Mexico in Miami will hold another Saturday Service Day on Saturday, April 18, at its offices located in Coral Gables. The goal is to provide services to people who are unable to visit the office during the week.

According to the announcement the consulate posted on its official account, those interested can process essential documents such as the voter ID card (INE), passport, and consular registration card during this special service.

For the Mexican community abroad, obtaining these documents is essential, as they serve as official identification with local authorities and banks in Florida. The service will be offered at 2555 Ponce de León Blvd, 4th floor, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Among the services available are:
The Protection Department (DPC) will offer free legal advice to answer questions about labor rights or immigration.
The Health Window will be operated by the Marsoni Foundation. There, attendees will receive free basic services such as blood pressure checks, glucose testing, and preventative advice.

Given the complexity of these procedures, the diplomatic office has implemented a specific protocol for those requiring dual citizenship and civil registry services. For these appointments, please request an appointment via email at registrocivilmia01@sre.gob.mx, specifying “Saturday Session April 2026” in the subject line.

The consular authority reiterated that appointments are free and non-transferable. For document services (passport, consular registration, and INE [National Electoral Institute] card), users must schedule their visit through the MiConsulado system.

This digital platform allows Mexicans in the U.S. to select the necessary service through the official website citas.sre.gob.mx or contact them directly via WhatsApp at +1 (424) 309-0009.

The consulate warned that appointments scheduled through intermediaries or external agents may be canceled without prior notice.

“Appointments are free and non-transferable. Those scheduled through intermediaries may be canceled without prior notification. To encourage interaction with users, the institution stated: “We are waiting for you!”

Those interested are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes before their appointment and bring the original documents required for each procedure, such as birth certificates or proof of address, to ensure proper service.

The correct presentation of these requirements prevents delays and allows the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) team to successfully complete these processes.
