Mexican singer Luis Miguel has put his iconic Miami penthouse on the market for just over $5 million, a lower price than he reportedly paid to buy it back in 2021.
The sale is already generating buzz in the South Florida luxury real estate market, where prices are increasingly dependent on the economic climate and intense competition among premium developments.
The property is located on the 46th floor of the exclusive Jade Brickell Bay building, one of the most prestigious residential towers in the Brickell area.
According to reports, “El Sol de México” (The Sun of Mexico) originally purchased the apartment in 2004, at the height of his international career, for approximately $2.2 million.
Over time, the property became one of his main residences in the United States. However, in 2012, he went through a difficult financial period that forced him to sell the property, reportedly for a similar amount to what he had initially paid.
Nine years later, in 2021, the singer managed to buy it back. Real estate agents estimate that he paid around $7.8 million, although that figure was never officially confirmed.

The singer considered the property an intimate and symbolic space, associated both with moments of crisis and his subsequent return to the stage, a period that revitalized his public image and international career.
Over the years, the entertainment press linked the property to romantic episodes in the singer’s life, including relationships with figures like Myrka Dellanos and Aracely Arámbula. Rumors also circulated about disagreements with Mariah Carey regarding the use of the apartment.
None of these stories were confirmed by those involved, but they contributed to reinforcing the aura of mystery surrounding the singer and his Miami residence.
The difference between the current asking price and the estimated repurchase amount reflects the volatility of the sector.
